In the tradition of "Berlin: Symphony of a City", "Manhatta" and "Man With a Movie Camera"…only funnier!

A day's activities from morning to night are depicted in a brand-new silent movie, made over a two-week period by twenty-two clowns or clown groups participating in the 2012 New York Clown Theatre Festival.  This "Portmanteau film" silent movie project was devised by Audrey Crabtree, Jeff Seal and Ben Model for the festival, and has never been attempted before.

Segments of a day's activities were assigned to each clown group, who in turn made a silent movie that was no more than three minutes long, using the Vintagio app for iPhone/iPad (the app was known previously as Silent Film Director).

The individual films were then assembled into one whole film, which will be debuted at the New York Clown Theatre Festival on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 8:30pm.  The screening will have live musical accompaniment by Ben Model.  The final, complete film -- with the live score on it -- will later be uploaded to YouTube.
